Davis has named his company the RJD Group Inc.

Davis left the state GOP last year to work for Fred Thompson’s presidential campaign. He also managed Thompson’s 1996 U.S. Senate campaign and was his state director.

Davis was elected as state party chairman in 2004.

On August 4, 2007 he resigned to become Senior Advisor to Presidential candidate Senator Fred Thompson. Bob traveled extensively with Senator Thompson and provided daily counsel throughout the campaign.
