(AFP) SOFIA — The US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has offered its support to Bulgaria in fighting crime and corruption, agency chief Leon Panetta said on a visit here Thursday.
After meeting Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Panetta pledged that the CIA would continue its "good cooperation" with Bulgaria, according to a statement from the government's press office.
Tsvetanov said the talks focused on a series of recent police operations against organised crime and corruption in the country, without providing details. ...
