AMERICA IS ONE ELECTION AWAY FROM OPEN FASCIST RULE,
BUT JOE BIDEN DOESN'T HAVE THE NERVE TO SAY SO

NPR reports that Joe turned down an invitation to be interviewed on national television before the Superbowl. Had he accepted, he would have reached tens of millions of sports fans. Trump would have accepted and made the most of it.

But then, Joe doesn't make much an impression anyways. He is incapable of dealing with the right directly, beats around the bush, spouts stupid cliches ("Never bet against America" - give me a break - "There's nothing America can't do if we are united!" - personally, I don't care to be united with homicidal Nazi automatons, but maybe it's just me), so perhaps its just as well he avoid millions of dollars worth of free publicity, stay home and manage arms transfers to Netanyahu.

Biden is behind in the polls because he comes across as a winded putz who doesn't want to offend anyone. He is at his best when he is as angry as a union boss leading a strike, but he rarely slips into that mode. The man has moments of brilliance, but typically soft boils his message with cornball euphemisms and says nothing of substance.

Turning down the Superbowl when he is trailing Trump by five points is a reflection of his complacency. He inspires no one with tired rhetoric from past decades. Nazis are taking over. We are not merely "losing our democracy.". "Existential threat" is true, but it's pundit jargon. Most Americans haven't read Sartre. Being and nothingness almost never come up at the local Moose lodge. l

The concentration of wealth at the top, Trump's sole interest as chief executive, will result in mass privation. The planet will heat until millions of lives are snuffed out by climate disasters. We've glimpsed what a national abortion will do to women. The right is taking over the press as it did in Germany under a mediocre lunatic with corporate backing. This is direct speech. Many Americans have no idea what "authoritarian" means.

Republicans have been nazified. They constitute a cult of murder. Why not accept an invitation to inform the country that Hitlerian Satanism will crucify Christianity, that the process of transforming education into mass Nazi indoctrination is underway?

"Never bet against America?" America will fall like Jonestown. Nearly half of all Americans are already face down in the Kool-Aid.

Is the truth so hard to accept? Is speaking honestly and directly so offensive?

A very American coup is underway. Fight steel with steel. When is Joe going to stop letting homicidal liars drown him out and fight back with everything he has? A sheepish smile, soft soap rhetoric and dumb bromides will not turn back the rising tsunami of fascism.
