Hardly, but it avoids, as always talking about the war in Vietnam, the Cold War, the Joint Chiefs, the MIC, the military intelligence apparatus that consumes 85% of its budget since it started (out of $80 billion now admitted) and makes the CIA and FBI into the think tank toys they are, the oil tax depletion allowance the Kennedy brothers wanted to kill, the Castro assassination plots they tried to stop, the moves toward ending the nuclear arms race and detente with the USSR which the same plotters had foiled with the U-2 incident when Eisenhower met Kruschev, the civil rights movement, the JFK plan to withdraw from Vietnam in 1964, the push to end organized crime which was closely linked to both ONI and CIA, the international drug traffic connection that was being discovered, the wish to scatter the CIA to "the four winds", the abandonment of General Landsdale's failed approach to use covert operations in place of overt wars, the wish for real peace, and the sense of hope for social justice against the old order that JFK and RFK began to create and support. It was these same factors that led to the same forces killing Dr. King and Robert Kennedy in 1968, as well as their fear that the JFK case would be reopened. While he has defended suspicious people (Posner, Jim Jones, etc.), his defense in the Hunt trial was mainly aimed at exposing the CIA. His books contained much useful information. Anti-JFK ads appeared in the local paper, and were financed by Haroldson L. Hunt, a member of the John Birch Society. -H.L. Hunt of the John Birch Society owned space in the Dal-Tex Building, where many believe shots were fired from. There still is powerful evidence that the motorcade route was changed deliberately, and at the last moment, by the mayor and chief of police in Dallas, and that this was to ensure that the motorcade passed directly in front of Oswald's view. Perhaps his view wasn't absolutely perfect, but he was also a much better marksman than many multiple-shooter theorists have claimed. Also, the issue of the "two beeps of a car horn" came up in the interrogation of David Ferrie, who at one point had told Garrison-connected investigators that he was going to be the "escape driver" as well as the "getaway pilot" for Oswald. Ferrie had said that, when Oswald had arrived at a "safe point" after the shooting, he, (Ferrie) was to meet him in a vehicle and the signal was to be "two beeps of the horn." Ferrie had gone on to say that the airfield in question, was located north of Houston. Only years later, during the Iran-Contra investigation, did the existence of that airfield north of Houston emerge. Oswald's housekeeper had stated that, on assassination day, shortly after Oswald ran into the front door and briefly into his room, (then left again to apparently try to meet someone at the theater), she had seen a police car pull up and had heard "two beeps of a car horn". All this powerfully suggests the David Ferrie was, indeed, a co-conspirator, and that, through his ties to the CIA and Clay Shaw (who was subsequently determined to be CIA) could have implicated at least some other persons at CIA. One name that just jumps out at you, of course, was that of Allen Dulles, a the former DCIA who'd been fired not long before by JFK. Dulles had tons to cover up about his WW2 treasons. No longer at the helm at CIA, (a position he'd essentially been able to maintain under the Truman Admin., the last potentially hostile one), he may have been somewhat nervous this could be revealed after all. (CIA control had been held by WW2 traitor types continuously throughout the Truman and Ike years. With the firing of Dulles by JFK, that whole can of worms was at risk of being opened.) Only hours before, Nixon's VP candidate, Henry Cabot Lodge, had helped instigate the coup that toppled and killed Diem. This was CIA insider double-dealing, too. Jack Ruby, killer of Oswald, had links to the same Chief of Police of Dallas that had helped re-route the motorcade. It only takes one man with a rifle to actually do these things. Keeping it simple, making arrangements around him, then taking him out when it's done--that's a workable conspiracy.
